Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Whatsclaw (the “Service”), operated by Hashlabs Holdings (“we”, “us”). Whatsclaw is currently offered as an invite-only alpha — by using it, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Service is experimental and may change or break without notice.

1. What the Service does

Whatsclaw is an AI executive assistant that connects to your personal WhatsApp account and, optionally, your Google Calendar and Gmail. It reads conversations you grant it access to, tracks commitments, sets reminders, and — only for chats you explicitly mark “writable” — can send WhatsApp messages, create calendar events, or take other actions on your behalf, either when you ask it to or on a schedule you configure.

2. The WhatsApp connection is unofficial — please read this

Whatsclaw links to WhatsApp using an independent, unofficial multi-device protocol library — not WhatsApp’s official Business API. This means:

  • Linking your number is likely a violation of WhatsApp’s own Terms of Service.
  • WhatsApp may detect, restrict, or permanently ban the linked number at any time, for any reason, entirely outside our control.
  • We take precautions to reduce this risk (gradual warm-up, human-like sending pace, rate limits) but we cannot guarantee your number will never be banned.
  • You link your WhatsApp account entirely at your own risk, and you confirm the number belongs to you or that you have the account holder’s permission to connect it.

3. Your responsibilities

  • You control what the assistant can do: read-only, writable, or off-limits, per chat.
  • You are responsible for reviewing what you authorize — especially anything marked “writable”, since the assistant may send messages or take actions in that chat without further confirmation for routine tasks.
  • Group chats and personal contacts may contain messages from people who have not agreed to AI processing. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to grant the assistant access to those conversations in your jurisdiction.
  • You will not use the Service to harass, spam, defraud, or send unlawful content to anyone.
  • You will not attempt to circumvent the permission controls or rate limits built into the Service.

4. AI limitations

The assistant is powered by large language models and can misunderstand requests, misread context, or make mistakes — including in dates, names, and the content of messages it drafts or sends. Treat its output as a draft assistant, not an infallible agent, particularly for anything sent externally or that has real-world consequences.

5. Alpha status, availability, and changes

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Features, pricing, and availability may change, and the Service may be interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time, including due to a WhatsApp ban, upstream provider outage (Google, our AI providers), or maintenance.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hashlabs Holdings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including a banned WhatsApp number, a message sent in error, missed reminders, or data loss. Your use of the Service is at your own discretion and risk.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and disconnect your integrations at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these Terms or misuses the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves during alpha. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
